13th Mini Cooper S Heated Seats & Harman Kardon

It's been a long time since my last Post. Here I am with a new Mini. It is 2007 the very first model of 2nd generation R56. I happen to buy this car in exchange of a 2011 Peugeot RCZ ,which was an amazing car for a Peugeot.

This 13th Mini Cooper S is only 55.000km and It is surprisingly loaded from my last 12 Minis. The exterior is quite usual with Dark Silver body and Black top , loaded with Bi-Xenon heardlamps and 17' Spokes rims which MINI.

Here comes the interesting part , which is the interior ; It is fully loaded with Harman Kardon music system and Heated leather seats. But more interesting is that the looks of the interior trim. It is woody look both on the trims and on the Steering Wheel.
The steering wheel gives a funny feeling while driving though when u get used to it it feels cool.

The problems I faced with this car is totally an other story. Basically there were 2 heavy problems such as the good old "Sunroof" and the Radio issue.
The Sunroof was barely opening since it never had a maintenance before. The Rails were not oiled and so the Engine of the Sunroof had an hard time doing its job. This end up breaking the Gear so it couldn't lift up the sunroof.
I took it to the service and fist of all they changed the 2 sided Rails which cost approximately 200 EUR 250 $ , then we tried to fix the Sunroof Engine where as it was impossible due to the racked gears.
So we had to order a new engine which cost like 260 EUR - 330$.
As we changed the parts the sunroof works just like old days.

The second main problem is the Radio Problem, I also faced this problem with my Red 08 Mini Cooper S. The radio bottoms on the speedometer wasn't working properly so I had to send it to a service for Radio maintenance . They end up finding the problem as water leak. Since the sunroof was nor working properly water leaked though the sunroof and end up getting in the Radio. This caused the problem and they cleaned all the wires and changed a chip that cost 170 EUR 220$.

To sum up , insist on sunroof maintenence when you take your car for a rutine service maintenence, you might end up changing the sunroof and the radio which would cost you like 2.000 EUR 2.500 $
or plus...
